The Rusco 1" Spin-Down Sediment Filter (1-60-F) is a compact, whole-line sediment pre-filter designed for residential well systems, single-family irrigation setups, and equipment protection applications where reliable sand and grit removal is needed at 1" service line flows. Fitted with a 60 mesh polyester screen rated at 254 microns, it targets the fine-to-medium sand, grit, pipe scale, and shale fragments that are the most common source of valve erosion, drip emitter clogging, and appliance damage in well water systems.

The 60 mesh rating is a popular choice for irrigation-focused installations and well systems with heavier sediment loads where a 100 mesh screen would foul too quickly and require frequent flushing. At 254 microns, it catches the sand and grit particles that do the most mechanical damage to pumps, valve seats, and irrigation emitters — without loading up as rapidly as a finer screen in high-sediment-volume conditions. It's also the screen of choice when the primary concern is protecting drip emitters and micro-sprinklers on residential irrigation systems fed by a 1" well or municipal supply line.
