Riser Extender, MPT x FPT PVC Schedule 40 2" (434-020)

This 2" Schedule 40 PVC Riser Extender (MPT x FPT) provides a fixed-length threaded extension for 2" NPT riser assemblies in irrigation, commercial plumbing, and light industrial PVC piping systems. Constructed in white Schedule 40 PVC, it offers the corrosion resistance and chemical compatibility required across a wide range of fluid handling applications where a 2" threaded assembly must be extended a fixed increment without the variability of a cut-to-length nipple or the bulk of a standard coupling-plus-nipple assembly.

The 2" MPT inlet threads directly into any standard 2" FPT or FIP female-threaded fitting, valve body, riser base, or equipment connection, while the 2" FPT outlet accepts any standard 2" male NPT-threaded fitting, valve, sprinkler head, or downstream component for a pressure-tight mechanical connection when made up with thread sealant or PTFE tape. This MPT x FPT configuration allows the riser extender to thread into an existing female-threaded port and provide a female-threaded outlet for the next component in the assembly — functioning as a fixed-length inline extension that adds a precise, repeatable increment of height or projection to the threaded assembly without cutting pipe or fabricating a custom-length nipple.
