The 819-015 is a 1-1/2" PVC Schedule 80 45 degree elbow in a full FPT (female pipe thread) configuration on both ends. Both ports accept male-threaded pipe or fittings, making this an all-threaded elbow that integrates directly into threaded PVC piping assemblies without solvent welding at either end.

The 45° bend angle provides a moderate directional change in the pipe run — more gradual than a 90° elbow but with a steeper offset than a 22-1/2° fitting — making it the preferred choice when a pipe run needs to change direction at a diagonal rather than a full perpendicular turn. In threaded systems, the 45° geometry also produces less turbulence and pressure drop through the bend than a 90° elbow, which is a meaningful consideration in systems where flow efficiency through the directional change is a design factor.

The all-FPT configuration is what sets the 819-015 apart from the more common slip x slip elbow in the same angle. Both ends thread onto male-threaded pipe, nipples, or fittings — allowing either end to be assembled and disassembled independently without disturbing the rest of the piping. This makes the 819-015 particularly well suited for threaded systems where future access, component replacement, or system modification at or near the elbow may be required. It is also the natural choice when transitioning into or out of a threaded assembly where a solvent-weld connection is not practical or not permitted by system design.

Built to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards from rigid PVC compound, the 819-015 carries the elevated pressure ratings required for demanding industrial and commercial service. Both FPT ports should be assembled with appropriate thread sealant to ensure leak-free connections under operating pressure. Like all Schedule 80 PVC fittings, this elbow is fully resistant to corrosion, chemical attack, and biological fouling — with none of the rust, thread seizure, or galvanic concerns that accompany metal threaded elbows in wet or chemical service environments.

Industries & Applications:

  • Industrial Process Piping — Navigating a 45° directional change in a 1-1/2" all-threaded Schedule 80 process assembly at equipment connections, panel penetrations, or service transitions where solvent welding is not practical
  • Chemical Processing — Routing threaded chemical feed, dosing, or recirculation lines at diagonal angles through mechanical spaces where the 45° geometry minimizes pressure drop and turbulence through the bend
  • Water Treatment & Municipal — Directing 1-1/2" threaded treatment plant or pump station piping around structural obstructions or equipment layouts that require a diagonal rather than perpendicular direction change
  • Irrigation Systems — Changing direction on 1-1/2" threaded Schedule 80 control manifolds or equipment connections where an all-threaded assembly is specified and a 45° offset is required
  • Commercial Plumbing — Routing threaded high-pressure supply or process water lines through commercial mechanical rooms where building geometry or equipment placement requires a 45° direction change
  • Industrial HVAC & Cooling — Directing threaded chemical treatment or cooling water lines around mechanical constraints at a moderate angle where a 90° elbow would over-rotate the run
