The 807-130 is a Schedule 80 PVC 90-degree reducing elbow with a 1-inch slip (socket) inlet and a 1/2-inch female pipe thread (FPT) outlet. The socket end solvent cements onto standard 1" Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 PVC pipe, while the 1/2" FPT outlet receives a 1/2" male-threaded fitting, valve, instrument, or plug connection. By combining a 90° directional change with a simultaneous reduction from 1" to 1/2", this fitting eliminates the need for a separate reducing bushing or adapter downstream — consolidating two functions into a single compact fitting and reducing overall assembly length, joint count, and potential leak points.

This reducing configuration is particularly well suited to instrumentation branches, pressure gauge taps, chemical injection points, and small-bore equipment connections where a 1" process line must turn and step down to a 1/2" threaded interface in one move. The mixed slip-to-FPT design also preserves serviceability at the terminal connection — the upstream cemented joint is permanent, while the 1/2" FPT outlet allows the downstream threaded connection to be broken and reassembled for instrument removal, valve replacement, or system modification without disturbing the cemented pipe run.

Manufactured from heavy-wall Schedule 80 PVC, the 807-130 delivers greater wall thickness and mechanical strength than Schedule 40 equivalents, making it appropriate for industrial, chemical, and elevated-pressure service environments. The dark gray color is standard for Schedule 80 and allows immediate visual identification in mixed-schedule installations. Apply a medium-bodied PVC primer and standard-bodied PVC cement per ASTM D2564 to the socket end; apply PTFE thread tape or an approved pipe thread sealant to any male-threaded fitting before engaging the FPT outlet. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
