90 Degree Elbow, Slip x Slip PVC Schedule 80 2-1/2" x 2" (806-292)
The 806-292 is a 2-1/2" x 2" Schedule 80 PVC 90° Reducing Elbow with Slip x Slip connections. This fitting accomplishes two tasks simultaneously — redirecting flow at a right angle while stepping the line down from a 2-1/2" pipe to a 2" pipe — eliminating the need for a separate reducer and standard elbow in the same run. For commercial and industrial installations where space is tight and fitting count matters, the reducing elbow is a cleaner, more efficient solution.
Both ends accept solvent cement for a permanent, pressure-rated bond to standard Schedule 80 PVC pipe. The 90° geometry directs flow in a true right angle, making it well suited for equipment connections, wall penetrations, header-to-branch transitions, and directional changes within a pressure system where a pipe size reduction is simultaneously required.
Manufactured to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards, the 806-292 is rated for higher working pressures than Schedule 40 equivalents at the same size — an important consideration in systems handling chemical solutions, recirculated process water, or other demanding fluids where a Schedule 40 fitting would be underspecified. The dark gray PVC compound provides excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals, UV exposure (in coated installations), and corrosive environments where metal fittings would be unsuitable.
Specifications:

⚠️ Note: In a reducing fitting, the smaller end governs the pressure rating. Always reference manufacturer derating tables for elevated-temperature service.
Industries & Applications:
- Chemical Processing — Ideal for routing chemical lines around obstructions while simultaneously stepping down pipe diameter to match equipment inlet sizing
- Water & Wastewater Treatment — Used in pump discharge headers, filter manifolds, and treatment skids where directional changes and size transitions occur at the same point
- Industrial Plumbing — Reduces fitting count and installation time on complex pipe runs requiring both a turn and a reduction
- Irrigation & Agricultural Systems — Efficiently transitions from larger supply mains to smaller distribution laterals at directional change points
- Swimming Pool & Aquatic Facilities — Common in return line plumbing and equipment pad piping where PVC is the specified material and space constraints are a factor
- Commercial Mechanical Systems — Used in fluid handling systems where compact, corrosion-resistant piping assemblies are required
