This makes the street elbow the right choice when two fittings need to connect back-to-back, space is tight, or a 90-degree change of direction must originate directly from an existing fitting socket.

The slip socket end accepts standard Schedule 40 PVC pipe via solvent cement in the conventional manner. The result is a compact, low-profile 90-degree turn that can be positioned closer to adjacent fittings than a standard elbow with two socket ends, reducing overall system footprint.

Manufactured from rigid white PVC compound and conforming to ASTM D2466 dimensional standards, this fitting delivers reliable performance in pressure-rated cold water, irrigation, and commercial plumbing systems. The 3" size warrants careful solvent cement technique — apply a full, even coat of PVC primer to both the spigot end being inserted and the receiving socket, follow immediately with a heavy-bodied or Schedule 40/80-rated cement, seat firmly with a quarter-turn twist, and hold briefly while the joint sets.
