Bushing, Spigot x FPT (Flush Style) PVC Schedule 80 2-1/2" x 1/2 (838-287)

The 838-287 is a 2-1/2" x 1/2" PVC Schedule 80 flush bushing in a spigot x female pipe thread (FPT) configuration. The flush (or "hex flush") style seats completely inside the fitting socket rather than using a hex shoulder that rests on the fitting face — making it the preferred choice when a smooth, low-profile connection is required or when fitting space is limited.

Manufactured from rigid PVC compound to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards, this bushing delivers the higher pressure ratings and added wall strength that demanding industrial and commercial applications require. It's designed to reduce a 2-1/2" spigot down to a 1/2" female threaded port, allowing contractors to transition to a smaller threaded branch, instrument connection, or valve without adding an additional adapter fitting.

As with all Schedule 80 PVC fittings, the 838-287 offers excellent resistance to corrosion, chemical attack, and biological growth — and carries none of the rust, scale, or electrolytic concerns associated with metal fittings.
