The 829-247 is a Schedule 80 PVC reducing slip coupling designed to transition flow from a 2-inch mainline down to a 1/2-inch branch or continuation line using solvent cement socket connections on both ends. Built to Schedule 80 wall thickness standards, this coupling offers a higher pressure rating and increased mechanical strength compared to Schedule 40 equivalents, making it well-suited for demanding industrial, chemical, and process piping environments.

Both ends feature smooth slip (socket) bores sized to accept standard Schedule 80 pipe for a full solvent weld joint. The 2" x 1/2" size combination addresses significant in-line reductions where a bushing or multiple fittings might otherwise be required, consolidating the transition into a single fitting. Gray PVC construction provides excellent resistance to a wide range of acids, bases, and corrosive fluids, while maintaining dimensional stability under continuous pressure and temperature cycling within rated limits.

This fitting conforms to ASTM D2467 dimensional standards for Schedule 80 PVC socket fittings and is manufactured from virgin PVC compound meeting ASTM D1784 Cell Classification 12454.

Pressure ratings are for water service at 73°F. Derate for elevated temperatures and aggressive chemical service per manufacturer guidelines.
