The 807-168 is a 1-1/4" x 1" PVC Schedule 80 reducing 90 degree elbow in a slip x FPT (socket x female pipe thread) configuration. The 1-1/4" slip end accepts plain-end pipe for solvent welding on the inlet side, while the 1" female-threaded outlet receives any compatible male-threaded fitting, nipple, valve, or instrument connection — delivering a 90° direction change, a one-step size reduction, and a solvent-weld-to-thread transition all within a single compact fitting body.

The three-function design of the 807-168 is what makes it a specialty fitting worth understanding. In many process and mechanical piping assemblies, a 90° turn, a pipe size reduction, and a transition from solvent-weld to threaded construction all occur at or near the same point — typically at an equipment inlet, a panel penetration, or a service connection where the main run is larger-diameter solvent-weld pipe and the terminating connection is a smaller female-threaded port. Achieving this result with standard fittings would require a slip 90° elbow, a reducing bushing or coupling, and a male adapter stacked in series — three fittings and three additional joints at a single transition point. The 807-168 consolidates all three into one body, eliminating two extra joints, reducing potential leak points, and producing a significantly more compact assembly.

The 1-1/4" slip inlet solvent-welds permanently into the surrounding pipe system, while the 1" FPT outlet remains serviceable — the connected valve, instrument, or fitting can be removed and replaced at the threaded port without disturbing the solvent-welded pipe on the inlet side. Thread sealant should be applied at the FPT end to ensure a leak-free connection under operating pressure.
