The 6" PVC Schedule 80 Loose Ring Flange (Part No. 854-060FT) is a pressure-rated, gray-body flange fitting designed to create a bolted, disconnectable joint on Schedule 80 PVC piping systems. Unlike a fixed flange, the loose ring design features a free-rotating outer ring that spins independently around the flange hub, allowing bolt holes to be aligned to a mating flange, valve, pump, or equipment face without rotating the pipe or solvent-cemented hub assembly. This is a significant installation advantage in tight mechanical spaces, on long pipe runs, or wherever pipe rotation after cementing is impractical.

The slip (socket) connection on the hub accepts a solvent-cement joint to the pipe end, creating a permanent, leak-resistant bond on the pipe side while the flanged face remains fully demountable. This combination — permanent pipe connection with a bolted disconnect point — makes the loose ring flange the preferred choice for pump connections, equipment isolation, system sectioning, and any location where future maintenance access, component replacement, or inspection is anticipated.

Manufactured from Type I, Grade I PVC compound, this Schedule 80 fitting provides the increased wall thickness and pressure capacity required in demanding industrial, chemical, and municipal applications.
