The 852-020 is a 2" PVC Schedule 80 solid style flange with a female pipe thread (FPT) inlet, designed to create a bolted flange connection at the end of a threaded PVC pipeline. The FPT inlet accepts any standard 2" NPT male-threaded pipe or fitting, while the flat face flange plate bolts directly to any mating 2" ANSI/ASME B16.5 Class 150 flange — including companion flanges, valve flanges, pump flanges, and equipment nozzles — using a flat face gasket and standard bolt pattern.

Manufactured from rigid, dark gray PVC compound conforming to ASTM D1784 cell classification requirements, the Schedule 80 solid style flange is machined from heavier-wall stock than Schedule 40 equivalents, providing the additional mechanical strength required to withstand the bolt-up clamping forces, line pressure, and thermal cycling encountered in demanding industrial and chemical service environments. The solid (non-van stone) flange body is a single molded piece — the flange face and hub are permanently integrated, eliminating the slip-on backing ring required by van stone style flanges and simplifying installation where a one-piece assembly is preferred.

The all-PVC construction provides excellent resistance to a broad range of corrosive media including acids, caustics, chlorinated water, and many industrial process fluids, making the 852-020 a practical alternative to stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant metal flanges in chemical, water treatment, and municipal applications.
