The 4" PVC Schedule 80 Solid Style Flange (FPT) is a heavy-duty thermoplastic flange fitting designed to create a bolted, face-to-face connection point in Schedule 80 PVC piping systems. The female NPT threaded inlet accepts a standard threaded pipe or nipple on the pipe side, while the flat face bolts directly to any mating ANSI 150 lb flange — whether PVC, metal, or a flanged valve, pump, or equipment connection — using standard bolt circle hardware.

The solid style flange is a one-piece, full-body fitting machined or molded without a separate backing ring. This distinguishes it from a van stone (lap joint) flange assembly, where a loose ring rotates behind a flared stub end. The solid construction makes this fitting the more rigid, pressure-stable choice and the preferred option when alignment is fixed, bolt loads are predictable, and the assembly does not require the rotational freedom that a van stone provides.

Flanged connections offer a critical advantage over solvent-welded or threaded joints in systems that require periodic disassembly for inspection, maintenance, valve replacement, or equipment service.
