Sharing the same end connections and nominal dimensions as its Schedule 40 sibling (C602-662), the C602-661 is distinguished by its Class 125 pressure rating — a designation that reflects the fitting's design and wall geometry are optimized for systems operating at or below 125 PSI at 73°F rather than the higher pressure thresholds of Schedule 40 construction.

At 12" diameter, Class 125 is a widely specified and cost-effective fitting standard for large-diameter PVC piping systems where working pressures are within the 125 PSI envelope. Gravity-flow drainage, low-pressure irrigation mains, stormwater conveyance, and municipal non-pressure distribution lines all commonly fall within this range, making Class 125 the practical and economical choice for these applications over the heavier-walled Schedule 40 equivalent when elevated pressure capacity is not a system requirement.

The 2" FPT branch provides a permanent, in-line threaded outlet capable of accepting ball valves, gate valves, air release valves, pressure gauges, cleanout plugs, threaded nipples, and reducers directly — without saddle fittings, tapping hardware, or additional transition fittings.
