This 1-1/2" x 1-1/2" x 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC Tee (Slip x Slip x FPT) provides a three-way junction in which the two inline run ends accept PVC pipe via solvent-cement socket bonds while the perpendicular branch outlet provides a built-in 3/4" female-threaded connection — combining a standard socket tee and a threaded branch adapter into a single compact fitting body. Constructed in white Schedule 40 PVC, it eliminates the need for a separate all-slip tee plus a threaded bushing or adapter at the branch, reducing fitting count, shortening assembly time, and minimizing potential leak points wherever a threaded branch must be tapped off a socket PVC pipe run.

The two 1-1/2" slip socket run ends accept 1-1/2" PVC pipe for permanent solvent-cement bonds, maintaining full mainline diameter through the inline run. The 3/4" FPT branch outlet accepts any standard 3/4" male NPT-threaded fitting, valve, nipple, or equipment connection directly — without the intermediate step of cementing a separate tee, waiting for cure, and then threading in a bushing before the threaded component can be installed. This mixed Slip x Slip x FPT configuration is the correct choice wherever a socket-based 1-1/2" distribution main must supply a 3/4" threaded branch connection to a solenoid valve, ball valve, pressure gauge, chemical injection port, instrument tap, or other male-threaded service component. It should not be confused with the all-slip 401 series tee, which requires a separate adapter or bushing to achieve a threaded branch, or the all-threaded 405 series tee, which requires male-threaded pipe ends or nipples on all three ports.

Rated to 330 psi at 73°F (governed by the 1-1/2" slip run ends), this tee is suited for standard commercial and light industrial water distribution and irrigation service within its pressure class. Its PVC composition provides excellent resistance to corrosion, scale, chlorinated water, and a broad range of chemical exposures, making it a reliable long-term alternative to metal fittings in moisture-prone or chemically active environments. NSF/ANSI 61 listing confirms suitability for potable water contact.

Apply solvent cement to both the pipe end and fitting socket at each run port per ASTM D2564 procedures, using a primer appropriate for the pipe and fitting schedule. Insert pipe fully into each socket and maintain a quarter-turn during assembly for even cement distribution across the joint surface. On the 3/4" FPT branch, use a quality pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape on the male NPT threads of the mating component before engagement. Avoid over-torquing the threaded branch connection — PVC threads require hand-tight plus one to two turns. Allow adequate cure time on both cemented joints before pressurizing the system, and derate pressure ratings for elevated temperatures per published derating curves.

Industries & Applications:

  • Irrigation & Water Distribution — Taps 3/4" male-threaded solenoid valves, zone control valves, drip emitter manifold inlets, and filter housing connections directly off 1-1/2" socket-based PVC supply mains in agricultural and municipal irrigation systems, eliminating the need for a separate tee and threaded bushing at each valve station branch point
  • Commercial Plumbing — Provides a built-in threaded branch outlet off 1-1/2" socket PVC supply runs for 3/4" male-threaded pressure gauges, ball valves, fixture supply connections, and branch service lines in commercial building water distribution systems where mixed socket-and-threaded assemblies are common at service branch locations
  • Industrial Process Piping — Taps 3/4" male-threaded instrument connections, chemical injection ports, sampling valves, and drain stubs directly off 1-1/2" socket process water distribution headers in water treatment, chemical processing, and manufacturing facilities, reducing fitting count at branch tap locations throughout the system
  • Chemical Handling — Provides a corrosion-resistant mixed-connection branch tap in systems conveying acids, caustics, fertilizer solutions, and other fluids incompatible with metal fittings, particularly at chemical injection points and metering connections where a 3/4" male-threaded component must be tapped off a 1-1/2" socket PVC distribution main
  • Water Treatment & Aquaculture — Used at filter housing branch taps, chemical dosing connection points, recirculating system instrument connections, and UV sterilizer inlet branches where a 1-1/2" socket main must supply a 3/4" threaded service component and NSF/ANSI 61 compliance is required throughout the assembly
  • HVAC & Mechanical Systems — Branches 3/4" male-threaded sensor connections, drain valve stubs, and chemical feed taps directly off 1-1/2" socket PVC runs on cooling tower supply headers, chilled water distribution mains, and chemically treated water systems within the Schedule 40 pressure class
