The -528 suffix places this fitting as the smallest-branch option described to date in the 402-series 6-inch run tee line — below the 402-529 (2-1/2" branch), 402-530 (3" branch), and 402-532 (4" branch) previously described. The 2-inch branch represents the most pronounced size differential in this series: a 6-inch run feeding a 2-inch outlet covers a span of four nominal pipe sizes, which defines the branch's functional role clearly. A 2-inch FPT branch off a 6-inch main is not a distribution lateral or a primary equipment connection — it is a secondary service tap, serving a specific, lower-volume function that is deliberately subordinate to the primary 6-inch flow path.
