The 401-336 is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing tee with a 3" × 3" run and a 1-1/4" branch outlet, all three connections in slip (socket) configuration for solvent cement installation. This fitting is built for pressure-rated systems where a main 3" PVC line needs to branch flow to a smaller 1-1/4" lateral without the use of a separate reducer. The all-socket design creates a clean, permanent, leak-free joint when properly primed and cemented.

Manufactured from rigid PVC compound, this fitting delivers excellent resistance to corrosion, scale buildup, and a broad range of chemicals encountered in commercial and industrial plumbing, irrigation, and process piping. The Schedule 40 wall thickness ensures pressure performance consistent with the system piping, and the fitting is rated for use with standard PVC solvent cement systems.

For 3" socket joints, follow solvent cement manufacturer guidance on application technique — larger-diameter slip connections require a full, even coat of cement applied quickly and the fitting seated with a quarter-turn twist before the cement sets. Use of a heavy-bodied or Schedule 40/80 rated cement is recommended at this diameter.
