This 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC Riser Extender (MPT x FPT) provides a compact inline height or length extension for 1/2" all-threaded riser assemblies and distribution manifold connections — threading its male-threaded lower end directly into any 1/2" female-threaded port and providing a 1/2" female-threaded upper outlet for the next male-threaded component in the assembly, adding the body length of the fitting to the effective riser height or threaded run length without requiring an intermediate nipple section on either side of the fitting. Constructed in white Schedule 40 PVC, it is the highest-pressure confirmed entry in the 434 series — rated to approximately 600 psi at 73°F — making it well-suited for the compact instrument manifold, solenoid valve riser, and chemical injection line extension applications that dominate at this small-bore service diameter.

The 1/2" MPT inlet threads directly into any standard 1/2" FPT or FIP female-threaded port — the female end of an existing riser stub, a tee branch FPT outlet, a valve body female-threaded connection, a manifold port, or a socket-to-thread adapter outlet — providing male-threaded engagement at the upstream female port without requiring an intermediate nipple between the port and the extender body. The 1/2" FPT outlet accepts any standard 1/2" male NPT-threaded pipe end, nipple, solenoid valve body inlet, riser extension fitting, street elbow, or equipment connection for a pressure-tight mechanical connection when made up with thread sealant or PTFE tape. As a straight-through MPT x FPT extension fitting, the riser extender adds its body length directly to the threaded assembly at the female port location — the correct choice when a threaded riser assembly or service line stub must be extended beyond its current height or length without cutting into the underlying pipe or socket assembly, without adding a separate nipple section, and without changing the thread orientation at either end of the extension.
