The C602-662 is a 12" x 2" Schedule 40 PVC reducing tee featuring slip socket connections on the 12" run and a 2" female pipe thread (FPT) branch outlet. This fitting is purpose-built for installations where a large-diameter solvent-weld main requires a permanent, in-line threaded branch connection — for a valve assembly, pressure gauge, air release, cleanout port, chemical injection point, or moderate-flow lateral — without the added complexity of a saddle fitting, tapping sleeve, or separate transition assembly.

The 2" FPT branch occupies the practical middle ground between a small instrument tap and a high-volume lateral takeoff. It is large enough to accept a full-port 2" ball valve, gate valve, or check valve for meaningful flow control, yet sized appropriately for monitoring connections, drain ports, bypass loops, and chemical dosing assemblies that do not require the full capacity of the 12" main. The female thread accepts Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 threaded nipples, valves, plugs, and reducers directly, giving installers flexibility in how the branch is configured or extended at the time of installation or in future system modifications.

The 12" slip sockets on the run bond with standard IPS-dimension Schedule 40 PVC pipe using heavy-bodied PVC solvent cement — the correct grade for large-diameter applications where socket depth, surface coverage, and cure time require a thicker-bodied cement than small-bore installations.
