Tee, Slip x Slip x FPT PVC Schedule 80 1" (802-010)

The 802-010 is a Schedule 80 PVC tee in 1" with a slip × slip × female pipe thread (FPT) configuration — slip socket connections on both run ends and a female NPT-threaded outlet on the branch. This hybrid connection arrangement makes the 802-010 the right choice when a permanent solvent-welded main line run needs a branch outlet that can accept a threaded male fitting, instrument, plug, or removable connection without committing the branch to a permanent cement joint.

The female threaded branch is a practical asset in installations where the branch connection may need to be serviced, swapped, or capped — pressure gauges, thermowells, chemical injection points, sampling ports, and drain/cleanout plugs are all natural fits. The slip run ends solvent cement directly to Schedule 80 PVC pipe, maintaining pressure integrity and chemical resistance throughout the main line.

Molded from gray Schedule 80 PVC, this tee offers thicker walls and higher pressure ratings than Schedule 40 equivalents, making it appropriate for demanding industrial, chemical processing, and water treatment applications. The material provides strong resistance to acids, bases, and a broad range of corrosive media. All dimensions conform to ASTM D2467 standards for Schedule 80 socket fittings, and the NPT thread on the branch conforms to ANSI/ASME B1.20.1.

When assembling the threaded branch connection, apply PTFE tape or a compatible thread sealant. Avoid over-torquing NPT connections into PVC female threads — hand-tight plus one to two turns is generally sufficient to achieve a leak-free seal without stressing the fitting body.
