Tee, Slip x Slip x FPT PVC Schedule 80 3/4" (802-007)

The 802-007 is a Schedule 80 PVC tee with 3/4-inch slip (socket) connections on both run ends and a 3/4-inch female pipe thread (FPT) outlet on the branch. The two run-end sockets accept standard 3/4" Schedule 40 or Schedule 80 PVC pipe via solvent cement, maintaining a permanent, pressure-rated inline run, while the FPT branch receives a 3/4" male-threaded fitting, valve, instrument, plug, or union tail — preserving full disassembly and serviceability at the takeoff point without disturbing the cemented main run.

This mixed slip-slip-FPT configuration is a practical and widely specified solution for installations where the mainline is a permanent cemented system but the branch connection must remain accessible for equipment service, instrumentation replacement, valve actuation, or periodic inspection. A threaded isolation valve, pressure gauge, chemical injection fitting, or union screwed directly into the FPT branch can be removed and replaced independently at any time — a meaningful operational advantage over an all-slip tee where branch access would require cutting the fitting out of the line. The FPT branch also allows a threaded cap or plug to be installed during system commissioning and removed later when the branch connection is needed, providing built-in flexibility for phased installations.

Manufactured from heavy-wall Schedule 80 PVC, the 802-007 delivers greater wall thickness and mechanical strength than Schedule 40 equivalents, making it appropriate for industrial, chemical, and elevated-pressure service environments where a cemented run with a serviceable threaded branch is the specified configuration. The dark gray color is standard for Schedule 80 PVC. Apply a medium-bodied PVC primer and standard-bodied PVC cement per ASTM D2564 to both run-end sockets; apply PTFE thread tape or an approved pipe thread sealant to any male-threaded fitting before engaging the FPT branch. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
