The 801-030 is a 3" Schedule 80 PVC Tee with Slip x Slip x Slip connections. This is a full-size, equal-outlet tee — all three sockets are 3", all three are slip connections accepting solvent cement for a permanent, pressure-rated bond to standard Schedule 80 PVC pipe, and the branch exits the run at a perpendicular 90° angle. It is the foundational branch fitting of any PVC pressure piping system: it splits a main line into two directions, introduces a branch off a continuing run, or serves as a three-way junction point in a distribution header, manifold assembly, or supply network.

With all three sockets at full 3" bore and no size reduction at any port, the 801-030 maintains the full flow capacity of the main line through the run and presents the full 3" bore at the branch. This makes it the correct specification when the branch connection requires the same pipe size as the main run — a full-size continuation in all three directions. Where the branch requires a smaller pipe size, a reducing tee (such as the 801-334 or 802-333) is the more efficient specification; the full-size tee is the right choice when all three legs of the junction are the same diameter.

The all-slip configuration means every connection is a permanent solvent-welded joint — once cemented, no socket can be disassembled without cutting pipe. This is the standard configuration for permanent pressure piping systems where all connections are designed to remain in place for the service life of the installation. For applications where one or more connections must remain threaded and serviceable, the equivalent tee with an FPT branch port (such as the 802-334 series) is the appropriate alternative.

At 3", the 801-030 is sized for commercial and industrial main lines and headers — a diameter commonly encountered on pump station discharge piping, water treatment plant distribution headers, large-diameter chemical process lines, irrigation supply mains, and municipal utility branch connections. The 3" full-size tee is a high-frequency fitting in these systems, appearing wherever a main line must branch, a header must feed a sub-circuit, or a three-way distribution point must be established in the piping layout. Schedule 80 wall thickness ensures the fitting meets the pressure and chemical resistance demands of these environments, and the dark gray rigid PVC compound provides broad resistance to acids, bases, and industrial chemicals throughout the service life of the installation.

Proper solvent cementing practice at 3" is important — large-diameter joints require a full two-step primer and cement application with thorough coverage of both the pipe end and socket interior on all three ports, with each pipe held in alignment through the set period before the joint is allowed to cure undisturbed. On a tee, the run sockets and branch socket should be assembled in a sequence that allows each joint adequate set time before the next connection is made.

Part Number 801-030
Material PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Schedule Schedule 80
Fitting Type Tee
Size 3"
Run Size 3" x 3"
Branch Size 3"
Connection Type Slip x Slip x Slip (All Socket)

⚠️ Note: All three sockets are permanent solvent-weld connections — once cemented, no connection can be broken without cutting pipe. Use primer before cementing all three sockets at 3" diameter — do not skip the priming step on large-diameter joints. If any branch connection must remain threaded or serviceable, specify the FPT branch version instead. Consult manufacturer derating tables for elevated-temperature service.

Industries & Applications:

  • Water & Wastewater Treatment — Branches 3" treatment plant distribution headers, filter feed lines, and process piping mains at perpendicular junction points where full-bore flow capacity is required in all three directions and a permanent all-cemented assembly is specified
  • Chemical Processing — Used as the primary branch fitting on 3" chemical distribution headers and process lines, introducing full-size branch connections to parallel circuits, equipment feeds, and sub-distribution runs in corrosive-service piping systems where the all-slip assembly eliminates threaded joints at the branch point
  • Industrial Process Piping — Establishes three-way junction points on 3" process water, cooling water, and chemical lines at plant piping systems and skid assemblies where the branch run is the same diameter as the main and all connections are designed as permanent solvent-welded joints
  • Pump Station & Equipment Connections — Installed on 3" pump discharge and suction mains where a full-size branch connection to a parallel pump, bypass circuit, or secondary distribution header must be introduced at the junction point without reducing the main line bore
  • Municipal & Utility Infrastructure — Applied on 3" municipal water distribution mains, pump station headers, and utility branch connections where full-bore perpendicular branch fittings are specified at service connection points, hydrant leads, and distribution network junctions
  • Irrigation & Agricultural Systems — Used on 3" pressurized supply mains at manifold branch points, zone distribution junctions, and pump outlet headers where a full-size branch connection maintains flow capacity to both the continuing main and the branch lateral simultaneously
