The 2" x 1/2" PVC Schedule 80 Reducing Wye Socket (875-247) is the smallest branch configuration in the 2" Schedule 80 wye socket series, engineered for applications where a minimal-flow 1/2" service line must tap into a 2" primary run cleanly and permanently — at the elevated pressure rating and chemical resistance that Schedule 80 gray PVC delivers.

The 45° wye branch geometry allows the 1/2" branch to enter the 2" main run at a gradual angle, maintaining smooth flow along the primary run while providing a dedicated, pressure-rated tap point for the branch connection. All three ports use socket (slip) connections for permanent, solvent-welded joints that preserve the full wall thickness and pressure integrity of the Schedule 80 assembly throughout.
