The 8" PVC Schedule 80 Coupling (Slip x Slip) is a large-diameter heavy-duty fitting designed to join two sections of 8-inch Schedule 80 PVC pipe in a straight run. With slip socket connections on both ends, this coupling creates a permanent, pressure-tight joint through solvent cement installation — producing a full-bore connection with no flow restriction, no mechanical hardware, and no gasket or seal to degrade over the service life of the system.

At 8 inches in Schedule 80, this coupling occupies a specific and deliberate position in the fitting catalog. It is not a general-purpose joining fitting — an 8-inch Schedule 80 system is by definition an industrial or large commercial assembly, specified because the operating conditions exceed what Schedule 40 can reliably handle.
